The Company currently has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Debtors Controller the position reports to the Financial Manager and is based in Walvis Bay. The role will be responsible for managing and ensuring debtors are within terms. Setting up the terms of credit for new customers. Negotiating payment plans. Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
Job description

  • Manage group debtors & debt collection (ensure debtors terms are adhered to)
  • Prepare month end close (inter-company invoicing), financial reporting & reviewing (group debtors age analysis);
  • Cashflow forecasting (debtors) & assisting with working capital management.
  • Coordinate regular debtors’ meetings with operational administrators & management
  • Oversee and manage all new customer applications (setup and facilitating credit review with service providers).

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Accounting Degree is an added advantage
  • 5 years related experience
  • Experience in the logistics industry will be a distinct advantage;
  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills;
  • Computer Literate with sound knowledge of Acumatica;
  • Experience with CGIC, ITC, TranUnion or similar service providers
  • Knowledge of Income VAT Act and Accounting Standards (revenue recognition)
  • Namibian citizenship.
