Woker Freight Services (Pty) Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer with offices located in Lüderitz, Walvis Bay and Windhoek. The Company is looking for a suitably qualified Bonds Controller for their operation based in Walvis Bay.
Job description

  • Handling and controlling of bond, dormant (record keeping, analysis and resolution).
  • Handling and controlling of deferred accounts (ensure it is up to date and facility is available).
  • Monitor bonds statements and ensure that items older than 30 days are validated from the system.
  • Monitor dormant entries at all clearance offices and submit for cancellation within 30 days.
  • Have regular meetings with the operations department to discuss outstanding items.
  • Present weekly bonds age analysis to management.
  • Forward Import VAT account statements to clients on a monthly basis
  • Liaise with Customs at various border posts to monitor unacquitted entries.
  • Maintain all administrative requirements of the functions. 
  • Accurate and timely reporting

Minimum requirements

  • Namibian citizen
  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Computer literacy is essential (MS Office)
  • Knowledge of the Customs computer systems: Asycuda World
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Training in Customs and Excise Law is an added advantage.
  • 3-5 years C&F and Admin experience
  • 1 year’s customs road bond control experience
