The Company currently has an opportunity for an experienced Cost and Management Accountant (C5) the position reports to the Financial Manager and is based in Walvis Bay.
Job description
- Cost management and control (cost allocation, cost estimation, cost behaviors analysis))
- Evaluate effective resource allocation to ensure operational improvement (including variance analysis)
- Planning & Budgeting (preparation of forecast and budget packs, including Hyperion);
- Perform monthly cost variance analysis (identify deviations & ensure effectiveness of cost control measures)
- Evaluate projects and consider cost effectiveness of buying decisions (ROI, buy-back etc.)
Minimum requirements
- BCom or other relevant degree
- Completed articles at an audit firm / or relevant in field experience
- MS Office is essential
- Computer literacy with sound knowledge of Acumatica & Hyperion;
- Good knowledge & understanding of OHSE systems and the requirements
- 5-8 years related experience is essential
- Experience in the logistics industry will be a distinct advantage;
