Woker Freight Services (Pty) Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer with offices located in Luderitz, Walvis Bay and Windhoek. The Company is looking for a suitably qualified Bond Controller for their operation based in Walvis Bay.
Job description
- Handling and controlling of bond, dormant (record keeping, analysis and resolution)
- Handling and controlling of deferred accounts (ensure it is up to date and facility is available)
- Monitor bonds statements and ensure that items older than 30 days are validated from the system
- Monitor dormant entries at all clearance offices and submit for cancellation within 30 days
- Have regular meetings with the operations department to discuss outstanding items
- Present weekly bonds age analysis to management
- Forward Import VAT account statements to clients on a monthly basis
- Liaise with Customs at various border posts to monitor unacquitted entries
- Maintain all administrative requirements of the functions
- Accurate and timely reporting
Minimum requirements
- Namibian citizen
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Exposure to MS Office
- Valid Driver’s License
- 1-2 years C&F and Admin experience
- 1 year’s customs road bond control experience
- 1 year working on Asycuda system
- Training in Customs and Excise Law is an added advantage
