Primary Purpose: Provide leadership and direction for the business, ensuring operational excellence, business profitability and sustainability, employee health and growth as well as alignment with Group Strategy and objectives.
Key Performance Areas are Business Strategy Execution, Team Leadership and Development, Operational Excellence, Financial Oversight, Business Development and Customer Relationship Management, Compliance and Safety
Key Responsibilities include:
- Implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and profitability
- Cultivate and support a high-performing team
- Oversee the efficient and effective management of all company operations, including leading and supporting the optimization of processes and resources as well as leading digital transformation initiatives in the business
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control
- Ensure the company's financial health and sustainability.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence and drive revenue growth
- Maintain and enhance relationships with key clients
- Ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Take primary leadership in addressing non-compliance through preventative, corrective and mitigating actions.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor Honors Degree or equivalent in relevant field (such as Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Logistics)
- Qualifications specific to Clearing and Forwarding will be an advantage
- Ten (10) years’ experience in Logistics with preference to Clearing and Forwarding environment
- Five (5) years’ experience in managing a medium to large sized business unit
- Demonstrated competence in Key Performance Areas
