Rennies Consolidated is an equal opportunity employer with offices based in Walvis Bay. The Company currently has two vacant positions in its Depot division and is looking for 2 suitable and qualified Booking Desk Clerks to join its ranks as soon as possible. The main focus of this role is managing container tracking and repairs, including invoicing and handling client queries, to ensure efficient operations at our Container Depot. Ideal for a detail-oriented, organized, and communicative professional.
Job description

  • Container Tracking and Operations

Capture and update container movements in the CMS, coordinating instructions for smooth tracking operations.

  • Repair Cost Management

Estimate and submit repair costs, manage authorizations, and process job completions for accurate system invoicing.

  • Client Queries and Communication

Address container and service-related queries, assist with stock-takes, and ensure responsive client interactions.

  • Tracking Report Preparation

Compile and distribute daily tracking reports to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.

  • Invoicing and Financial Administration

Process accurate invoicing for repairs and services, maintaining clear financial records for all transactions.

Minimum requirements

The successful incumbent should be in possession of the following:

  • Namibian Citizen
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office
  • Systems Exposure: Harpan (CMS) and Instacom (photo logging system)
  • Logistics or related qualification would be an advantage  
  • 1 -2 years operational and practical experience
