The Group currently has an opportunity for a disciplined, self-driven, responsive, and experienced Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Manager, based in Walvis Bay. This position will report directly to the Financial Director.
Job description

  • End-User IT Services and Business Systems Management: Oversee the provision of end-user IT services, including outsourced help desk, technical support services and service providers. Manage key business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, WMS) to support various departments and enhance productivity.
  • Digital Transformation Leadership and Governance: Manage the group’s digital transformation and automation strategy. Maintain, develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Data Integrity and Security: Ensure data integrity and security by implementing robust backup and disaster recovery solutions and security protocols.
  • Technology Improvement and Innovation: Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Team and Resource Management: Manage a team of business application specialists, software developers, third-party service providers, and project teams to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of objectives. Assign tasks, set priorities, and allocate resources efficiently to maximize team productivity and project success. Manage IT budgets, forecast expenses, and optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Stakeholder Management: Oversee relationships with third-party providers, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and that vendors deliver high-quality services.
  • Project Management: Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Minimum requirements

                 Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or related

                 Ten (10) years of related work experience, of which three (3) at management level

                 Master of Business Administration with technology as a core component preferred.

                 Certifications in IT service management, systems development life cycle and project management frameworks.

                 Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

                 Experience with business systems such as ERP, CRM, WMS, and ServiceNow platforms.

                 Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Microsoft Project).

                 Strong strategic mindset with progressive thinking.
