Introduction
Woker Freight Services (Pty) Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer with offices based in Lüderitz, Walvis Bay, and Windhoek. The Company is looking for suitably qualified Dispatch Clerks for its branch operations based in Walvis Bay. The dispatch clerk will be responsible to coordinate and manage the shipment of goods, ensuring that orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time to the correct destinations.
Job description

 Responsibilities 

  • Ensure customs documents are released and collected on time.
  • Arrange Customs inspections.
  • Keeping customs acquittals and bonds records up to date.
  • Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents and labels for accuracy.
  • Communicate with drivers and logistics teams to manage delivery routes and schedules.
  • Track shipments and update relevant stakeholders on delivery status.
  • Maintain records of dispatched goods, including quantities, destinations, and delivery times.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments promptly.
  • Customer communication and inquiries.
  • Compliance with ISO/ SHEQ / FIA standards and procedures.
  • Various ad hoc duties as may be required.

                       

 

                       

Minimum requirements

·        Namibian citizen

·        Matric Certificate or equivalent

·        Fully computer literate: Microsoft Office

·        Systems Exposure: Asycuda World and EDI Cargowise.

·        2-3 years freight, cargo, customs and forwarding experience.

·        Knowledge in road and air freight industry

·        Good interpersonal and customer services skills are essential.
