Walvis Bay Stevedoring is an equal opportunity employer with offices based in Walvis Bay and Lüderitz Bay. The Company currently has a vacant position and is looking for an appropriately qualified Supervisor based in Walvis Bay to join its ranks as soon as possible.
Job description

  • Resource planning and allocation of the operations
  • Manage & co-ordinate operational efficiencies through relevant control administrative systems and procedures
  • Attending port meetings.
  • Manage human resources (Shift Coordinators and Teams)
  • Assist in maintaining gear and equipment according to set procedures
  • Lifting and rigging experience 
  • Vessel cargo stow planning on loading and discharging.
  • Ensure adherence to OHSE and ISO policies

Minimum requirements

  •  Matric or equivalent                                              
  •  A diploma in logistics will be an advantage.                                      
  • 5 years’ proven experience in cargo handling, stevedoring, or maritime operations.                
  •  Rigging experience     
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)                         
  • Driver’s license           
  • Namibian Citizenship
