The Company is looking for suitably qualified Clearing & Forwarding Coordinators for its operations based in Walvis Bay. The successful candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and logistics. The ability to excel in communication and problem-solving, along with managing documentation and efficiently coordinating between all stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software and a proactive approach to handling challenges swiftly are also essential.
Job description

  • Customs Documentation: Framing of Customs Bill of Entries for Import, Export, Warehousing, and Transit. Maintain WFS customs bond, WIP, client accounts, and dormant entries.
  • Freight Management (Imports and Exports): Arranging and coordinating the shipment and transportation of goods, both domestically and internationally.
  • Customs Clearance: Liaison with Customs, Port, Shipping lines, Government agencies, forwarding agents, and other related Authorities to facilitate the efficient clearance of goods at ports of entry or exit.
  • Client and Customs Relations: Client management, customs relations, attending to customer sales & queries.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all transactions and administrative requirements, including shipping documents, customs declarations, quoting, invoicing, and daily communication.
  • Finance Management: Budget, cash, debtors and revenue management.
  • Customer Liaison: Ensure regular communication and coordination with customers to address their needs and queries while maintaining a high standard of customer relations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO/SHEQ/FIA regulations and processes.

Minimum requirements

•                  Knowledge in sea, road, and air freight industry

•                  3 – 5 years freight, cargo, trophy, customs and forwarding experience.

•                  3 years’ experience in Oil and Gas projects.

•                  3 years’ experience in ship spares operations.

•                  FIATA Diploma or degree in logistics will be an added advantage.

•                  Computer literacy is essential (Microsoft Office).

•                  Systems exposure: Asycuda World and EDI software.

•                  Matric certificate or equivalent.

•                  Namibian citizen

•                  Code 08 driver’s license
